Carl Zeiss Meditec IOL Master

The Carl Zeiss Meditec IOL Master is a state-of-the-art laser system that evaluates the length of the eye, surface curvature and intraocular lens power.
In cataract surgery, or other lens-replacement procedures, vision is improved by replacing the eye's natural lens with an intraocular lens (IOL). IOLs come in different powers and sizes to compensate for each patient's individual needs. For best vision after cataract surgery, precise measurements must be taken to determine which IOL to implant. The IOL Master is a high-precision instrument revolutionizing all previous techniques and setting a new standard for IOL calculations, called optical biometry.
With the IOL Master, Dr. Shetye can have complete confidence in the accuracy of results. Testing is fast and efficient (one minute or less), and both patient safety and comfort is enhanced. The IOL Master is the first optical tool that doesn't require contact with the eye, which eliminates the need for anesthesia and excludes any risk of infection.

Slit Lamp
The slit lamp is a microscope with a light attached that allows the doctor to examine your eye under high magnification. This instrument is primarily used to view the anterior structures of the eye such as the cornea, iris, and lens. However, with special lenses, it is possible to examine the vitreous and the back of the eye as well.

It is surgical microscope that can only be described as absolute state-of-the-art for ophthalmic surgery. Its wide range of uses meet the demands placed on it by surgeons and it offers new functions to improve depth of field, resolution and contrast.
Automated Perimeter
For glaucoma and retinal diagnosis purpose we have the all latest Appasamy Automated Perimeter .Which gives the prefect and accurate results .There are different types of field analysis available for different pathologies . Perimetry gives the idea about the field of vision of patients accordingly which we can proceed for the treatment .It is used as the diagnostic test in various pathologies .
YAG LASER
Yag laser is used for two purpose one is to perform Yag capsuloctomy and Yag peri-iridectomy .
Yag capsuloctomy is done after cataract surgery to make a opening in capsule when it becomes opaque .
We have the Yag laser of Appasamy which has good result resolution and intelligibility.
