Department of Ophthalmology and Cataract
Dr. Chandrakant Shetye is a visionary and tower at strength at the hospital. He completed his MBBS in 1997 from Goa Medical College and thereafter MS in Ophthalmology in 2000. he completed. He also completed the Fellowship in Anterior Segment and Phaco-emulsification from Aravind Eye Hospital Madhurai. he started vision care eye hospital in 2002. at Mapusa goa. This hospital is the outcome of his vision, dedication and hard work. giving the human touch to treating patients and employee is his moto and a key to successful management.
Department of Glaucoma
Dr. Abhijit Tagare completed his fellowship in Glaucoma and general ophthalmology ( FGGO ) from Arvind Eye hospital, Madhurai In June 1996. he was Glaucoma consultant and associate professor of ophthalmology in lions nab eye hospital, miraj maharashtra. Maharashtra ophthalmology society awarded him for best scientific exhibit in 1997. he joined Vision care in 2002 & developed the department of glaucoma equiped with Yag Laser, Pachymeter, Automated Perimeter, Applanation Tonometer, . He is the only Galucoma Super - Specialist Surgeon available in Goa at Vision care.
Department of Retina & Vitreous
Dr. Sachin V. Mahuli after his MBBS he completed his Diploma in Opthalmology from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai and thereafter DNB (Opthalmology) from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai. Superspeciality fellowship - Research Fellowship in Diabetic Retinopathy, Project At Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and also Clinical Vitreo - Retinal Fellowship Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He has been awarded Best Outgoing Clinical Vitreoretina Fellow in 2006 and also Dr. V. T. Doshi Endowment Gold Medal. He started Retina Clinic with Retinal Laser Surgery, retinal angiography and retinal green laser. He joined vision care in 2009 and starded performing detail fundus examination with indirect ophthalmoscopy and retinal laser procedures for diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular diseases and degenerations etc.
Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint
Dr. Ravindra Panandikar after completing MS in ophthalmology in 1994 from Goa Medical College and DNB ophthalmology in 1995. After completing his fellowship at Aravind eye hospital, he worked as lecturer in ophthalmology dept. at goa medical college. He joined vision care in 2003 & developed the department of paediatric ophthalmology. He started diagnosing and treatment of refractive disorders in children,testing binocular & colour vision, detection and treatment of strabismus (squint ) and treating amblyopia. ( lazy eye )
